While I may or may not have a slight obsession with I Love This Yarn, I truly can’t find anything negative to say about it. Bias? Maybe. Like I said, I may or may not be obsessed. But I will give you my honest opinion regardless.
This is the softest, smoothest yarn I’ve found. And that’s without having to soften the yarn myself.
I Love This Yarn is Yarn Bee (Hobby Lobby) brand, 100% acrylic and machine washable. The solids come in 355 yard skeins and the Ombres, Fan Pride & Prints start at 252 yards. I Love This Yarn is a size 4 medium (worsted weight) in 100% acrylic and the recommended hook size is an I/9, 5.5MM. I sometimes use an H or a J hook just to spice things up. Live dangerously, I say.

The crochet gauge for I Love This Yarn = 12 stitches x 15 rows = 4″ x 4″. Although your gauge will naturally vary, this is what they intend. I’ll be honest: I’m never right on track with gauge. Ever. I tend to crochet forcefully, meaning that I crochet tightly, so don’t be upset if you aren’t right on gauge either. Ain’t nobody got time for that sh!t. (Although you probably should make time for that sh!t or your sh!t won’t turn out right. Enough of that sh!t, back to the yarn!)
What can you make with I Love This Yarn? Just about anything. This is a medium weight yarn so you can make everything from afghans to hats, scarves, shawls… even baby blankets! Yes, it’s that soft!
