My neck, my back. 😅 This double ended bolster pillow free crochet pattern is the perfect thing to ease your stiff neck. So many puns, so little time.
Double Ended Dong Free Crochet Pattern
If you’ve been looking for the perfect pillow to give your neck just a little extra cushion, this is it! I love that it is double ended and super easy to crochet too. Just LOOK at how velvet-y and squishy it is!
Materials:
Velvet Yarn (Bulky/Size 5)
-flesh color of choice (Color A) – one ball (less than 80 yards)
-pink color of choice (Color B) – one ball (less than 80 yards)
Crochet hook in size 9mm
Neck Pillow Insert (like this one)
Gauge: 10 scs x 12 rows = 4”
Head:
Make two…
Round 1: Magic Circle (or ch-4, join to first ch), 8hdc in circle do not join or turn, work in a spiral marking the first st of each round with st marker.
Round 2: 2hdc in each st around. (16)
Round 3: * hdc in next, 2hdc in next * repeat between * * around. (24)
Round 4: * hdc in next 2 sts, 2hdc in next * repeat between * * around. (32)
Rounds 5 – 11: hdc in each st around. (32)
Fasten off and weave in ends. (Should look like a little beanie)
Shaft
Round 12: Attach with flesh colored yarn in the third loop of any stitch. Sl st in third loop only in each hdc around. Do not join, work in a spiral throughout. (32)
Round 13: Hdc in each st around.
Rounds 14 – 41: Ch-1, turn, hdc in each st around. (32)
*total height should be ~17” including one head and shaft. Sew opposite end head to shaft using the third loop only. Should have two “beanies” on each end with a shaft that has a slit going the entire duration (for inserting the pillow).
Insert the pillow, add some Polyfill to each end to shape. Sew flesh color together stitch for stitch.
